Bratton Gould is a major law firm in New York City, and is considered the direct rival of Zane Specter Litt. They once attempted to poach lawyers and clients from Pearson Hardman, and tried again to poach clients from Pearson Specter Litt years later. The firm is currently managed solely by Elias Gould, after the resignation and subsequent death of Thomas Bratton.
History
- "Bratton Gould is poaching our associates."
- ―Mike Ross
Bratton Gould made its first appearance in "Blood in the Water", where Allison Holt poached clients and associates from Pearson Hardman. After his employee termination from Pearson Hardman, Jimmy Kirkwood had gained employment at Bratton Gould, gaining an office in the process, and vouched for Harold Gunderson after the latter had been fired by Louis Litt.[1]
A few years later, Bratton Gould attacked Pearson Specter Litt by poaching Louis' clients while filing lawsuits against Harvey Specter's client, after Harvey took Alex Williams, a senior partner from Bratton Gould, along with Williams' biggest client, Masterson Construction, to Pearson Specter Litt.[2]
After Thomas Bratton was forced to resign, Elias Gould came after Pearson Specter Litt, although Alex and Louis managed to defeat them yet again.[3] Bratton later found out he was dying of cancer and decided to take revenge against Zane Specter Litt. With Eli now managing partner, he allowed Bratton to have an office at the firm to operate out of. However, Bratton died unexpectedly of a heart attack, prompting Eli to drop the suit.[4]
