I agree with Lostris' previous assessment that the section does not need expanding. If you feel something needs adding, you are free to do so yourself, but do not be surprised if another user subsequently undoes the edit.
Additionally, as this is the Suits Wiki, I would appreciate if you could keep anything discussions here related to that. For general conversations, you can always contact me on Community Central.
Seeing as you're not around any more, I was wondering if you would consider making me an administrator. I'm fine the way things are now, me editing/adding info, but every now and then you get someone who inserts/removes info..and they rightfully deserve a ban of some time period.
I am writing to you to invite any interested members of your Suits wiki page to assist with the creation of questions for a new quiz game application that is currently under development.
This is a mobile application which has been under development for a year and will be released onto the Google play store, the Windows Phone store and the Apple store later on this year.
We are looking for keen volunteers who would be willing to create questions for Suits, each volunteer would be assigned a single series of the show (or more if they are willing) and would be asked to create around 45 questions per episode of this show.
The questions would be created using a Question Builder that we have created for this purpose, it includes a tutorial, question compilation guidance and support from our staff at our below email address.
We would appreciate any assistance that you could give us regarding members of your excellent Wikia who may be willing to participate? Or would it be possible for us to post a thread on your Wikia page concerning this exciting opportunity?
All contributors will be credited for their work and a small monetary reward would be available to the right candidates to compensate them for their time spent.
Please visit our site for any further information about the application:
In case we haven't met yet, hi, I'm Andrew. I'm Wikia's technical community manager. If you have no idea what that means, my job is to make sure our partners and users are properly set up with the right content, tools, and (when something fails) technical solutions.
Last month, in partnership with Sony, we launched Wikia for TV SideView. TVSV electronic programming guide for Android that comes pre-loaded on Sony's Android devices. Now, when users access their favorite shows on the TVSV, they can browse your wikia's information alongside programming notes like airtime. It has been a smashing success thus far.
In fact, Suits Wikia - along with a few others I'll be contacting - has ended up being more popular than we'd anticipated! Traffic has been coming at a pace that exceeded our expectations, and many more folks are now reading and enjoying your community's work.
There are a couple gaps in content that we and the users have noticed, and I'm wondering if anyone here has the knowledge necessary to fill them in. You've developed a brand-new audience overnight, and they've quite enjoyed what you have here. I'm curious if you'd like to expand your reach, because if you do, I can show you where you might want to build some content.
If there are questions or comments, leave them here and I will be happy to talk!
Hi Andrew. It's always nice to meet someone from Wikia (and at the same time, good to know our little wiki hasn't been lost in the wilderness).
I would love nothing more than to expand the reach of the wiki and make it the best Suits encyclopedia on the net. The gaps in content are not so much a result of a lack of knowledge, but rather a lack of available time to create said content. Zane vs. Zane and Normandy demonstrate what the articles on the wiki could be like in terms of quality, but the amount of time it took to create said articles, and the small number of active contributors to the site, limits the ability to do this (both of those articles were several hours a day of watching and rewatching the episode to write the synopsis). So, in regards to that, and not wanting to seem ungrateful for your offer, but I'm no sure how much help Wikia would be able to provide us with this. That said, any ideas you do have would be very gratefully received.
Yeah, I totally get that there are only a few hours in the day. I'm just trying to let everyone know about the new syndication we have going now, and how it may or may not affect Suits.
As for the app itself: the FIRST thing it pulls from Wikia is the short episode "Overview". The Suits wikia has a bunch, but some are missing and others are super-short. That's what I was mostly referring to when I posted here.
And, as a side note, I had no idea this show even existed until a couple days ago. I looked it up when I got home and it's actually pretty funny - thanks for keeping this wikia active!
I could probably spend a couple of days expanding the episode overviews to be more of the quality of the Normandy one. If someone is watching the episode, I guess they won't be so interested in a full synopsis since that would spoil the episode for them. Anything else you could tell me that might help?
I can't take all the credit, there are a number of other users here that help keep us chugging along. To paraphrase the great Tony Stark, I'll take 12% of the credit; an argument could be made for 15.
Hello! I just wanted to let you know that Wikia Video has recently received some fresh videos related to Suits! Many of the videos embedded on wikis come from sites like YouTube and often become unavailable when they are removed or taken down for copyright violations there. To help provide a reliable and legal option, Wikia has licensed thousands of videos for use on your wikis from several content partners. These are all found in Wikia Video. They are viewable worldwide and Wikia has the full license for these videos, which means your wiki can use them anywhere you like!
Through a quick search, I found this set of videos for the Suits Wiki and was thinking we could put in a videos module on the wiki. Please let me know if you need any help adding them or have feedback on the videos!
Would you be open to having live chat on this wiki? It's seen quite a bit of success on other wikis, and communities seem to embrace it since it offers an opportunity for them to interact live rather than only being able to message back & forth. Ideally, we would invite them to meet here on the wiki for live chat during the actual show each week, which would allow them to *sort of* watch the episodes together as a community, and better coordinate adding content to the site as new characters and story elements are introduced. I've created this main page banner in case you're open to giving it a shot, although I'd have to turn the chat function on first:
I know, I know, I'm crazy. But hear me out. I have always taken a level of interest in expanding character pages and since I plan to write in the same style as is done on the ATLA wiki, I was wondering if or when the Harvey page has the first season completed on it, could I move it to a history page?
If the sections are long enough, then I don't see a problem splitting it onto a new page. The relationship pages for the main characters will probably also be split off onto new pages as well when they are completed.
