Pearson Darby was a major law firm located in New York and the location of where our characters work. However, it used to be Pearson Hardman, but after the merger between Jessica Pearson's law firm and Darby International, it became this way. After the merger Harvey struck a deal with Darby that if he could manage to get Ava Hessington of Hessington Oil off the hook in a bribery charge and a murder trial, he would back Harvey for managing partner, taking down Jessica. Jessica, unmidful of this, puts Harvey's name on the door, making the firm Pearson Darby Specter.
