History[]
- "I was recruited to come to Pearson Specter Litt. And I was told that I would be valued for my mind, my billings, and my relationship with my clients. And since I got here, I have had to take shit from Louis. And now you're asking me to waste my time and my ability on something like this."
- ―Stephanie Patel to Rachel Zane and Donna Paulsen
Stephanie Patel was an associate at Rand, Kaldor & Zane who was recruited by Katrina Bennett to leave Rand, Kaldor & Zane and move to Pearson Specter Litt.
Shortly after she began work at Pearson Specter Litt, Louis Litt headed to the bullpen to speak with the associates after his break up with Tara Messer. When she stood up for Brian Altman, who wished time off now that he had a newborn baby, Louis vented his anger at her, sexually harassing her in the process and informing her that no one would want to sleep with her.[1]
Rachel Zane later approached her and found out that she passed off her assigned work to Jason, a first year associate. Stephanie promised not to give Jason her work, but misled Rachel into thinking she would do it herself, whereas Stephanie merely passed it on to another first year associate, which led to her employment being terminated by Donna Paulsen.[2]
She was then hired at Bratton Gould, where she was given an office. She was briefly confronted by Rachel after Bratton Gould began receiving inside information from Pearson Specter Litt, although she informed Rachel that she was not the source of the leak.[3]
Claiming that there were rumors at Bratton Gould that she was fired from Pearson Specter Litt because she wasn't good enough, Stephanie filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against Louis, although she retracted the lawsuit after Louis explained why he had lashed out at her; additionally, Stephanie revealed that Louis' words affected her since she was in her mid-thirties working ninety hours a week, with no time to date anyone, and was therefore worried that she would never find someone to settle down and have a family with.[4]
