Suits LA is an American legal drama television series that serves as a second spin-off of Suits. It was created by Aaron Korsh for NBC and it premiered on February 23, 2025.
Synopsis[]
Suits: L.A. is centered on Ted Black, a former federal prosecutor from New York, who has reinvented himself representing the most powerful clients in Los Angeles. His firm is at a crisis point, and to survive he must embrace a role he held in contempt his entire career.
Ted is surrounded by a stellar group of characters who test their loyalties to both him and each other while they can't help but mix their personal and professional lives. All of this is going on while events from years ago slowly unravel, leading Ted to leave behind everything and everyone he loved.[1]

Development[]
On February 1, 2024, it was announced that NBC ordered a pilot for Suits: L.A. from Aaron Korsh, the creator and writer of the original series. Victoria Mahoney directed the pilot and serves as an executive producer. Production began in late March in Vancouver. Aaron Korsh served as an executive producer as well, alongside David Bartis, Doug Liman, and Gene Klein, all three of them were executive producers on the original series as well.[1]
On July 19, 2024, Suits: L.A. was picked up to series by NBC. The series is created by Korsh who is expected to executive produce alongside David Bartis, Doug Liman, Gene Klein, and Mahoney. Production companies involved with the series are Hypnotic and Universal Content Productions.[3]
On May 9, 2025, NBC canceled the series after one season due to poor viewship.[4]
Casting[]
On February 13, 2024, Stephen Amell was cast as the leading character Ted Black.[5]
On February 22, 2024, it was confirmed that Josh McDermitt to be cast as Stuart Lane in this series. Later on February 28, 2024, Lex Scott Davis been cast as Erica Rollins.[6]
In March 2024, Troy Winbush joined cast as a guest star but is set to be recurring if the pilot is picked to series and Bryan Greenberg was cast as a series regular.
Additionally, Troy Winbush and Alice Lee joined the cast as guest stars but is set to be recurring if the pilot is picked to series. In October 2024, it was reported that John Amos was cast to guest star as himself. On November 20, 2024, it was announced that Gabriel Macht would reprise his role as Harvey Specter in a guest starring role.
On November 25, 2024, Rachelle Goulding and Azita Ghanizada joined the cast in recurring capacities.
On March 5, 2025, it was confirmed that Rick Hoffman would be returning as Louis Litt in an episode on the show.
On March 20, 2025, it was confirmed that David Costabile would be returning as Daniel Hardman in an episode on the show.
